In a small-business environment, implementation matters. If you have a residential repainting company, you can quickly implement your plans. Action matters. Whether it’s a marketing piece, a new strategy for setting up job sites, or how your team is operating in the field you can quickly put your plan into action. If your ideas are not working out the way you want, then you can easily measure results and make the proper adjustments. One of the things I find with a lot of the painting contractors I coach is they want everything to be perfect before they even try to implement their plans. This is a real and simple mistake. Start implementing first, measure the results and then adjust your plan. That’s the key to really being a successful contractor.
