Blogging Tips for Painting Business

People ask me all the time what they should write about in their painting company blogs on their website. I think the most important thing is to get something out there. So getting something out of the door, getting something published and posted to me is the most important thing. I wouldn’t get lost in the details. Some ideas of things that are great. A job showcase, what’s a recent job that you are working on now, take some photos, get some information out there about a project. People love to see what type of prep work was done. They love to know what manufacturers and painting products you used. They love to know what colors were used – real basic stuff.

Another thing you can write about is an employee showcase. Do you have an employee who has done a great job, who put in some extra time or extra effort with a customer and it really made a difference? A blog post is a great way to show an employee how much you respect them and appreciate their work. It will also showcase your company.

Another thing that you may want to talk about is a company or community event. If you are doing something for your painting employees as an employee reward, you may want to make a blog post about that. If you are helping out in your community and you are doing some service work, make a post about that. Everything doesn’t have to be just about the technical details of painting or repainting or prep work, but you can do that as well.

So there are a lot of different things that you can focus on. My advice is to just get something up and post it on a regular basis and just continue to grow and develop your blog over time.
